What is the mystery
behind the recent success and steady growth of the Toyota Motor
Company? Most people would say that Toyota builds a better car, a
safer car a more reliable car. Simple right? But maybe not so
simple. In our observations and reviews of the Toyota car lineup
there seemed to be a distinct difference between the way Toyota
created their cars and the way the rest of the world including the
American and European car companies created theirs.
The first difference started with a basic and astute observation
of culture, society and people on the part of the Toyota Motor
Company that allowed them to evolve into the favorite car company
of the world. They are now on the verge of becoming number one in
sales globally.
Upon close examination
of each and every model in the Toyota lineup we observe that the
car was designed for a particular type of person with specific
needs, hopes and aspirations. In other words Toyota created cars
for people, studying the people first and putting
their needs before the needs of the engineers, designers,
corporation and shareholders.
Traditional car
companies, especially American and German choose to do it the
other way around. They create a car based on the opinions of
engineers, designers the corporation and most importantly the
shareholders, and then market the living daylights out of it hoping
that they can convince an unsuspecting public that their product
is the best choice.
